How to Care for Your Jewelry
Even the highest quality fine jewelry is always delicate and should be worn and stored with care. All Noa Fine Jewelry pieces are designed and made to last for generations if properly cared for. Below are some general guidelines and not an exhaustive list. You are always welcome to contact the studio with any specific questions.
Clean your jewelry with warm water and mild soap (toothbrushes can be helpful in reaching small areas), then dry immediately. It is better to completely avoid water with some stones, like pearls and opals — wipe gently with a moist cloth. Never give your jewelry any chance of falling down a sink drain or the like — use instead a bowl or any container. Never use steam or ultrasonics.
Avoid as much as possible exposure to humidity, heat, and harsh blows. Avoid contact with chemicals like lotions, perfumes, or hair sprays. Keep this in mind also when storing your jewelry — choose a dry space and separate your pieces so they won’t scratch each other.
Occasional, gentle cleaning as described above is especially important for silver (which will tarnish over time), both to remove tarnish and to slow down the process even before it starts. Gold will not tarnish, but it can get dirty over time and will also benefit from a gentle clean every now and then.
