Mystical and luminous, these earrings feature moonstones that seem to hold captured starlight within their milky depths. The stones glow with adularescence — a blue shimmer that moves across its surface like moonlight floating on water, appearing and vanishing as the earrings shift with every movement, a phenomenon that has fascinated civilizations for millennia. Set in smooth bezels that protect while showcasing the stones’ ethereal beauty, the moonstones become a window into something otherworldly. A small brilliant diamond nestles above each drop, offering a spark of clarity that enhances the moonstones’ dreamy glow without competing for attention. Together they create a perfect balance between the mystical and the brilliant, the soft and the sharp. These earrings are made for quiet moments and meaningful gestures — a talisman that carries both the mystery of ancient skies and the promise of light in darkness.

PRODUCT DETAILS

• All Gold: Solid 14k yellow gold.

Each diamond measures 2 mm in diameter, and each moonstone measures approximately 14 mm in length and 7 mm in width.

Moonstone comes from the mineral adularia, named for an early mining site near Mount Adular in Switzerland. This site also birthed the term adularescence, a billowy effect caused by the microscopic layers of feldspar that scatter light and give the stone its milky glow.

Moonstone has been admired and used in jewelry across cultures since ancient civilizations. Ancient Romans believed moonstone was formed from solidified moonlight, often associating it with their moon goddess, Diana, and believing it could bestow love, passion, and wisdom. Ancient Greeks called moonstone Aphroselene, merging the names of their goddesses of love (Aphrodite) and the moon (Selene). Believed to be formed from Selene’s tears, the stone was a sacred talisman representing passionate love, fertility, and divine protection. In Hindu mythology, moonstone is revered as a sacred "dream stone" formed from solidified moonbeams, representing divine feminine energy, love, and passion. In more recent history, moonstone became popular during the Art Nouveau period.
